During November, two of our team members, Shane O’Rorke, Technical Services Manager, and Todd Brewster from Technical Services, attended Autodesk University (AU) in Las Vegas. This year’s event boasted over 12,000 attendees, 200 exhibitors, and 600 classes and presentations. Held annually in different U.S. locations, AU serves as a hub for customers, industry experts, and the Autodesk team to engage in learning and knowledge sharing.
Shane and Todd actively participated in the three-day event, attending numerous educational sessions and getting a sneak peek into Autodesk’s current projects. They also supported the North American team from Civil Survey Applications at their exhibition booth.
The highlight of AU was the focus on AI innovations, specifically the launch of Autodesk AI. This introduction marked a significant shift towards advanced generative AI, aiming to enhance capabilities beyond current market trends with more sophisticated tools. Autodesk AI, particularly geared towards the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) sector, is designed to automate routine tasks. A notable aspect of this innovation is Autodesk Forma, which seeks to complement human work, boosting creativity and efficiency in project management.
Missed the event but want to catch up? Autodesk has compiled a selection of recorded presentations and educational sessions, available for free viewing here.
