We’re excited to welcome Asif Khan to the Civil Survey Solutions team as our new Structural Application Engineer. With a strong foundation in civil and structural engineering, a self-driven approach to learning, and a deep understanding of Revit and BIM technologies, Asif brings a unique blend of technical skill and real-world insight. 

Asif’s career has been shaped by a genuine commitment to supporting others and a keen interest in solving problems. With experience working across various private companies, he became a highly capable user of Revit and other AEC software, using these tools not just for drafting but for leading and mentoring teams within structural design environments.

He sees the limitations of conventional training models and recognises a need for more practical, real-world learning experiences. This insight has fueled his transition into the training space—where he now channels his knowledge and leadership skills into helping others grow in capability and confidence.

“Training resources are often too conventional and don’t reflect the complexities of real projects. I want to bridge that gap and help professionals tackle the kinds of challenges that arise in day-to-day project work.”

At Civil Survey Solutions, Asif plays a key role in delivering technical support and training across Revit, Advance Steel and BIM workflows. His mission is clear: to equip professionals at all levels, with relevant, practical knowledge and a forward-thinking mindset.

Outside of work, Asif leads an active and curious lifestyle. He enjoys hiking, bushwalking, long drives, and social dancing—particularly salsa. He also explores emerging technologies and 3D animation, reflecting his creative side and continued interest in visualisation. When it comes to footy, you’ll find him cheering on both the Collingwood Football Club and the Melbourne Football Club.
