As part of Autodesk’s commitment to providing more flexible and accessible modelling solutions, InfoWorks ICM is now available in three flexible options: Sewer, Flood, and Ultimate. These options are designed to give engineers greater control over the features—and pricing—that best suit their specific workflows.

At Civil Survey Solutions, we support local government, engineering consultants, and water authorities across Australia with implementation, training, and technical support for Autodesk water solutions, including InfoWorks ICM. Here’s what you need to know about the new options.

InfoWorks ICM Sewer (formerly ‘InfoWorks ICM Standard’)

This is ideal for engineers focused on sewer and river network modelling, ICM Sewer delivers unlimited 1D simulation capabilities, perfect for urban drainage and wastewater systems.

  • Unlimited 1D nodes for sewer and riverine networks
  • No changes to features compared to the legacy ‘Standard’ version
  • Now offered at a lower annual subscription cost
  • Ideal for stormwater and sewer-focused workflows

This is the most accessible option for users who don’t require 2D or floodplain modelling but still want a robust sewer simulation engine.

InfoWorks ICM Flood

For those working in flood modelling and surface water management, InfoWorksICM Flood offers unlimited 2D mesh with integrated 1D/2D capabilities.

  • Unlimited 2D mesh for surface water and flood simulations
  • Integrated 1D/2D modelling with up to 1,000 1D nodes
  • Supports detailed flood risk assessments and floodplain mapping
  • Lower subscription and token pricing than Ultimate

This option is ideal for councils or consultants focusing on flood studies, overland flow, or catchment-scale modelling.

InforWorks ICM Ultimate

Nothing changes here, InfoWorks ICM Ultimate remains the most powerful and comprehensive version, offering everything in Sewer and Flood plus:

  • Team collaboration tools (simultaneous model editing)
  • Remote simulation execution
  • Sensor data integration (scalar/spatial time series)
  • Advanced tools for large-scale, multidisciplinary modelling

If your team requires full functionality across storm, sewer, and flood modelling, Ultimate remains the go-to solution.

What does this mean for you?

These updates give you more control over your investment, whether you need targeted modelling tools or the complete suite. And as always, the Civil Survey Solutions team is here to help you make the right choice, implement the software effectively, and upskill your team.
